Deciding how to set your table for Thanksgiving and need a nudge in the right direction? Here are three curated Thanksgiving tablescape ideas to consider. Each features a centerpiece, place setting, linens, and tips on how to style.
I have hosted Thanksgiving too and know it can get a little overwhelming. My hope is these collections will help you feel confident about your table decor plan – so you can focus more on other hostessing duties. Like when do you take the turkey out of the freezer!? Lol.

This post is all about Thanksgiving tablescape ideas.
Modern Harvest Thanksgiving Table
- Velvet Pumpkins: Love that these are handmade by an artisan, yet are sold on Amazon. Splurge on two sets if you can and scatter them down the center of your table.
- Brown Stoneware: If you’re on the market for stoneware, I highly recommend Stone Lain. I have the black set and would not mind at all owning this brown one too!
- Matte Gold Cutlery: A Hostessology favorite, this set of matte gold cutlery will serve you well at Thanksgiving – and year round.
- Wheat Stems: Classic choice for a Thanksgiving table. I would put these in the three vases, and space them out going down the center of the table.
- Tablecloth: How cute are the tassels on this tablecloth? Plus, the contrasting stripe acts like a runner. So, basically you’re getting 2 in 1!
- Vases: With wheat stems, these vases can be placed as a group in the center of the table, or spaced out in a row.
- Amber Goblets: Propose a toast in these trendy vintage amber glasses. They will transition beautifully into the Christmas season too.
- Fluted Glass Tea Light Holders: Add some low light to your table with pretty tea light holders. See them in action on this tablescape.
- Chiffon Ribbon: In lieu of napkin rings, tie this pretty chiffon around your linen napkins.
- Flax Linen Napkins: You can almost never go wrong with flax linen napkins. Especially appropriate during the harvest seasons as they blend perfectly with the warm terra cotta tones.
Blue Thanksgiving Decor
- Pumpkins: Fill the wood bowl with some of these white pumpkins. Depending on the number of place settings you have, you could also accent each plate with one.
- Navy plates: Can we stop for a moment to appreciate these plates? Just gorgeous. Use these as your blue Thanksgiving setting anchor – to really make no question about your color palette!
- Napkins: With a hint of plaid, the blue stripe in these napkins will add an extra pop of the color.
- Gold candlesticks: Put a set of these on either side of the wood bowl for a traditionally balanced centerpiece.
- Tablerunner: Pull in one more touch of blue with a geometric print tablerunner.
- Wood napkin rings: Not only are wood napkin rings a staple item for your collection, but this set is super reasonably priced for a set of 12!
- Woven chargers: I have and love these jute chargers. They’re a classic go-to and will add a lot of texture to your setting.
- Wood centerpiece bowl: The center of your centerpiece, fill this live edge wood bowl with pumpkins. You could even tuck some eucalyptus in around the edges for a touch of greenery and added dimension.
- White wine glasses: Toast to what you’re grateful for with these modern, clean-line wine glasses.
- Matte Gold Cutlery: A Hostessology favorite, this set of matte gold cutlery will serve you well at Thanksgiving – and year round.
Moody Thanksgiving Table Decor
- Copper Charger Plates: Copper will bring a ton of warmth and personality to your tablescape. The embossed pattern around the rim of this set reminds me of mule mugs.
- Black Stoneware: If you’ve been around this blog for any length of time, you know these are some of my favorite plates. Get them as an early holiday gift to yourself!
- Burgundy Eucalyptus Garland: This garland will be a conversation starter for sure. Super unique and yet not too unfamiliar.
- White wine glasses: Toast to what you’re grateful for with these modern, clean-line wine glasses.
- Black Candlesticks: Place a few sets of these down the center of your table to complement the garland.
- Flax Tablecloth: The perfect basic tablecloth to have around.
- Burgundy Napkins: The burgundy eucalyptus garland needed a buddy on the table in the same color. These French linen napkins look and feel much more expensive than they actually are. Highly recommend!
- Copper Napkin Rings: How pretty will the burgundy napkins be against copper? I’m loving this combo. What about you?
- Wood Place Card Holders: Round out the finishes on your tablescape with a touch of wood. I appreciate the modern finish – not too rustic.
- Black Cutlery: Complete the look with matte black cutlery as an additional element to create a moody aesthetic.
