If you’re like me and want to create a special St. Patrick’s Day tablescape for your family, then you’re in luck! I have scoured the internet looking for modern St. Patrick’s Day table decorations and will share with you all of the goodies that caught my eye.
Instead of buying ALL holiday specific items (you know, things that say “Happy St. Patrick’s Day”), I looked for green, gold, and rainbow products that can easily be used for other occasions in the future.
In this post, I’ll share my finds for a modern St. Patrick’s Day tablescape so you can create a festive brunch, luncheon, or dinner for your family! I hope this gives you loads of ideas and inspiration to plan a fun, memorable holiday.

St. Patrick’s Day Tablescape Finds
St. Patrick’s Day Centerpiece
- MACRAME TABLE RUNNER: These table runners will give your table so much texture and interest at an amazing price point. Plus, you’ll be able to use them for many other events beyond St. Patrick’s Day since they are neutral.
- GOLD BOWL: In the center of your centerpiece, I’d add this “pot of gold”. Use it to hold the rainbow piñata favors (see next section) so it will truly become that elusive end-of-the-rainbow showpiece. I have this exact bowl in my home and use it as decor on shelves, coffee tables, and as dining table centerpieces.
- CERAMIC VASE: These vases have been used over and over for events at my home – and also are around on a daily basis as shelf decor. Highly recommend picking up a few of these while they’re restocked!
- FAUX SHAMROCK STEMS: Fill that ceramic vase with faux shamrock stems. (Unless, of course, you can track down fresh stems.) I would fill two ceramic vases with shamrocks and place them on either side of the gold bowl, for symmetry.
- FELT GARLAND: Felt garland is such a fun and unexected add to a table. Weave it around the vases and gold bowl in a meandering pattern.
- GOLD CONFETTI: Sprinkle gold confetti on top of the macrame runner and anywhere else that needs a touch of gold.
St. Patrick’s Day Place Settings
Placemats, Plates, & Flatware
- GREEN PLACEMATS: For this St. Patrick’s Day tablescape, let’s use basic Kelly green placemats. Nice and easy. You can break these out around Christmas too.
- GOLD CHARGER PLATE: On top of the placemats, layer a gold charger plate If you don’t already own something like this, you need them! They are such an easy way to instantly upgrade a table for any occasion with minimal effort.
- DINNER PLATE: Add white dinner plates on top of the gold charger. Simple white plates are another essential. These are my every day dishes, but they morph to work for just about any kind of event theme or holiday. Must have, in my opinion!
- GOLD FLATWARE: For another touch of gold on this St. Patrick’s Day tablescape, use gold flatware. This set, which I’ve had for over a year now, is from Amazon. I’m obsessed with the shape and weight of them. If you’re on the market for gold flatware, highly recommend these!
Napkins, Stemware, & Favors
- GREEN STRIPE NAPKIN: These napkins are the perfect subtle nod to the holiday – but also give you flexibility to use them for other tables. For instance, I think they would work well on a spring or Easter setting.
- WOOD SHAMROCK NAPKIN RING: Next, this is one of the only actual holiday specific item on this table; wood shamrock napkin rings. You could do without these and go for a simple wood napkin ring instead, if you prefer. Either way, I think the place setting needs a wood element, and these are an easy way to add it.
- GREEN PAPER NAPKINS: If you’re having kegs with your eggs and need beverage napkins that coordinate with the overall look of your St. Patty’s Day table, these simple, modern cocktail napkins are my pick.
- IRIDESCENT STEMWARE: While this is somewhat impractical, I thought iridescent stemware would be a fun, subtle way to add a touch of rainbow.
- RAINBOW PINATA PARTY FAVORS: Lastly, don’t forget the party favors! Mini rainbow piñata set at each place setting (or in the centerpiece pot of gold) and stuffed with gold coins (chocolate or $1!?) would be an adorable way to complete the look.
