Rose Syrup
Any rose syrup should work in this rose lemonade recipe. You may need to adjust for your desired sweetness. I used a zero calorie syrup to create the mocktail – Jordan’s Skinny Syrup in the Strawberry Rose flavor. Not only is it calorie free, but it is also gluten free and kosher. Great option if you have those dietary considerations.
As another option for you to consider, I’m also a big fan of Monin syrup (especially their violet, which I used in this cocktail recipe), and they carry a rose flavor. If you’re not ready to commit to a large bottle, they have a floral sample set that includes rose – and the violet. So you can try out both of those recipes!
Favorite Lemonade
The rose lemonade recipe was made with Trader Joe’s fresh squeezed lemonade. Here at Hostessology. I’m all about cutting time-saving corners in the kitchen – guilt free. That includes buying prepared healthy ingredients, rather than making every last thing from scratch! Honestly, this bottled fresh squeezed lemonade is every bit as good as homemade in my opinion.
If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby, you can use your lemonade of choice. Try to air on the side of a more tart lemonade rather than sweet, since you’re adding a fairly sweet syrup. Otherwise, you may end up with a beverage that is off the sugar charts!
Sparking Water Pick
Our beverage fridge is almost always stocked with La Croix, including the clear, pure one. My oldest daughter prefers it over the flavored varieties, and it’s handy to have – for beverage recipes like this one! I used an entire can of La Croix Pure for the rose lemonade recipe.
Lemonade Glassware
Your rose lemonade mocktail is best served in a pitcher. Bonus points for using coordinating cups too! In the summer, I’m a huge fan of Serena and Lilly’s rattan pitcher and glassware set.
True, they are a bit spendy. But I’ve found them to be well worth the investment! You can see them in action on other posts, like this in muted-tone red, white and blue tablescape or this boho graduation party.
In case you’re wondering, I have the lower old fashioned glasses. They also come in a high ball size as well, but I don’t have them. Yet. đ
Garnishing Touches
Garnishing drinks is so much fun, don’t you think? You can really get creative and turn ordinary into something special. Just a simple lemon slice makes this rose lemonade come to life. I also added strawberries for an extra punch of color.
As an alternative, if you want to get extra fancy, you could sprinkle edible rose petals into the pitcher and glasses. This would be an especially lovely choice if you’re serving this as a non-alcoholic beverage at a baby shower. You could even switch up the glassware to coupe stemware or wine glasses, to give it a more sophisticated flair.
