Christmas is a wonderful time of the year to be sure. But it can also be SO hectic. Your already packed schedule now has extra tasks piled on top of it, like hosting holiday meals. Not to mention, major pressure to make it perfect! Simple Christmas table decorations that are low effort and high impact will take a little of that pressure off.
Let me do some of the shopping for you! In this post, I’ve styled 3 Christmas table looks curated from no more than 2 stores each (because you already have enough deliveries to manage this time of year!).

This post is all about simple Christmas table decorations.
Plaid Christmas Table Decor
A simple Christmas table doesn’t have to be totally minimalistic. In fact, this time of year, I am truly mad for plaid. If you are too, then a tablecloth is a great way to incorporate it into a tablescape. Keep everything else simple to balance the busyness of the plaid. Like in this example, use a wood charger, basic white plates, solid napkins that tie into the tablecloth, spruce garland, and some taper candlesticks.
For the centerpiece, I would consider doubling the garland. And then also using two sets of the candlesticks, so you can fill the space.
You can pull this look together by shopping Target and Amazon.
Luxe Table Decorations
Of the three looks in this post, this is the one I most want to create in real life! I love the idea of using an unconventional color pallet for the holidays – ochre, copper, matte black, marble, and white faux fur.
You will love how easy this centerpiece idea is. If you’re short on time but want a visually unique look, try using a cloche (basically a glass dome) to enclose bottle brush Christmas trees. I have been using this decor for the holidays for years, and it’s one of my favorites because of it’s simplicity.
The faux fur table runner is a show stopper, is it not!? I would place the cloche/trees in the center, add a set of taper candlestick holders on either side, and then scatter the ornaments at random. You can probably pull this together in under 10 minutes!
You can shop this look at Amazon and CB2.
Neutral Christmas Table
For our third and final simple Christmas table decorations look, here is a neutral option for you. Using gold, matte black, linen, marble, green accents, and pinecones, you can create a tablescape that feels wintery but doesn’t scream Christmas.
For the centerpiece, I would fill the marble footed bowl with mini pinecones and place it at the center of your table. Then add one or two taper candles on either side of the bowl. To complete the look, add the garland down the center. I am obsessed with how pretty the copper bells and pinecones are on this garland!
To tie it all tougher, add one mini pinecone at each place setting along with a napkin and place card (here is a free printable option for you!).
You can shop this look at Anthropologie and Amazon.
