Hosting Easter brunch or dinner and need ideas for a kids Easter table? You have hoped over to the right place!
When you have a big family, sometimes you need a separate space for the kids to eat and hang out.
Maybe it’s because of seating limitations in your dining room – or maybe because it’s just nice for the grownups to eat uninterrupted (hey, no judgement here!).
Well, this kids Easter table will make the grownups jealous they are no longer invited to sit at the kids table!
So when I saw this Peter Rabbit collection from Meri Meri – I KNEW I had to create something with it. Can’t you just see a cute little Easter egg hunt followed by a meal at this table!?
In this post, I’ll share my version of a Peter Rabbit tablescape, including the process for setting it up and where you can find these cute things to recreate the look to delight the little ones at your Easter celebration!

This post is all about how to create a kids Easter table.
Peter Rabbit Plates
Okay, let’s start with the items that started it all – these adorable Peter Rabbit plates!
Truth be told, I found them at HomeGoods! But I’ve also linked options below to where you can find them online.
For this look, I layered a larger plate (2021 version no longer available – here is the 2022 version) under a smaller plate. The smaller plate could be used for salad, bread, or set to the side for dessert.
The illustrations and supporting graphics around them are beyond cute. And I love the square shape and scalloped detail.
When you’re hosting a big meal, sometimes it’s nice to cut a little corner on clean up and use some paper products. This is especially passable on a kids table, in my opinion!
But if you’re looking for a non-paper option, Pottery Barn has a lovely set of Peter Rabbit entertaining items.
Kids Easter Place Settings
Now on to the other components of the place setting.
First, I used a woven placemat. I liked the basket texture for this theme. It reminded me of Beatrix Potter – all things cozy cottage.
I bought these placemats almost two years ago and have used them a ton! They are really a great basic go-to if you’re on the market for something to freshen up your spring/summer entertaining collection.
For cutlery, I used cream grosgrain ribbon to tie a bow around a bamboo fork and spoon. This set of bamboo utensils is fantastic – it comes with more forks than spoons or knives, which is just brilliant. We ALWAYS go through way more forks and end up with lots of odds and ends spoons and knives. Maybe you’re the same?
Placing the plates slightly off center to the left allowed enough room for the cutlery to be criss-crossed to the right.
Then above the plates, I chose a kid-friendly acrylic tumbler, and placed the folded napkin inside. (Because we definitely do not want to cover up our cute plates with a napkin, right!?)
Last but not least, each place setting has a little woven carrot. These are technically marketed as vase fillers, but I thought they were pretty cute as a place setting accent too.
Easter Linens
Well, sadly I had hoped to be able to track down the exact tablecloth and napkins for you but cannot seem to find them anywhere. They are StoreHouse brand, and I found them recently at HomeGoods. So you could try your luck there?
Otherwise, here is a link to a similar yellow and white tablecloth and napkin set from DII on Amazon. I’m a huge fan of the DII brand – everything I’ve ordered from them (and it’s a decent amount) has been good quality for the price. And I have their blue and white seersucker napkins, so I’m hoping the yellow will be just as good!
I folded the napkin using this tutorial. It took one or two tries to get it – but I got the hang of it! I’m not super crafty, so if I can do this, you guys can too.
My daughters even commented that they liked how the napkin kind of looks like a blooming flower. I wasn’t intending for that to be the case, but I’ll take it!
If you’d rather use disposable napkins, there are also paper napkins that go with the Peter Rabbit collection that are darling as well.
Easter Centerpiece
Since this table is for kids, I wanted to keep the centerpiece pretty simple and somewhat functional.
Starting with the cake stands, I used the cupcake set from the Meri Meri Peter Rabbit collection to hold a donut, which works especially well if this meal is a brunch. I just love all of the sweet little characters and the fun print on the cupcake wrappers.
You may say – what mom would put the dessert on the table before the kids eat their meal!? Yeah, I thought of that too… Might not be my best idea ever in reality, but it is pretty cute, right?
You could easily replace the dessert with appetizers – or maybe even some vegetables. Hmmm… that would have been WAY better in hindsight since the Peter Rabbit story takes place in a garden. Darn! Well, blog and learn. Let me know if you try that – would love to know how it works out!
The bunny cake stands are from the Target dollar section. I used them in this Easter tablescape, and am really impressed with them. To me, they seem way more expensive than they actually were. If you cannot find them at Target, here is an alternative.
In the center of the centerpiece is a hyacinth planter. I bought the pink hyacinths from my local florist, and the pretty white ceramic urn-shaped planter is an old favorite from a flea market (here is a similar option).

I’m so happy I had a chance to create this kids Easter table inspired by literary characters that are so dear to me. I still have a toddler in my house, and I know she will absolutely adore an Easter meal at this table. (My older daughters – one tween and one teen – will humor me and go along with it – especially if donuts are involved. Ha!)
That will do it for today! Thanks so much for stopping by! Before you leave, hop over to the Easter section. More content is coming soon!
