With three daughters (currently ages 7, 13, and 17), I have been sending in Halloween school treats for parties for a LONG time. This year, for my 2nd grader’s classroom I put together this fun goodie bag. Packaging can make even the simplest gift look a little more special, which is what I tried to do with crinkle paper and a personalized gift tag. Keep reading to find out how you can get this gift tag template and links to shop the post.

Halloween School Treats
To fill the school party treat bags, I picked up cheese ball snacks with Halloween packaging in addition to fun candy rings in Halloween character shapes. They really were too adorable to pass up. Then, for a non-food item, I chose darling Halloween-themed mini bubble wands.
Next, I used cello bags (similar) sized for favors along with crinkle paper to put in the bottom of each. This crinkle paper is from another project, and I’m still working my way through it. There is a lot more in the package than it looks because it comes compressed.
Once I filled each bag with crinkle paper, then I added one of each treat. Then, to finish the look, the bags were tied with twine and a gift tag. I love using twine (similar) for packaging because it almost always matches, so I keep a roll on hand. For the tags, I personalized a template that I designed.
Finally, I put all of the wrapped Halloween treat bags in a large cauldron candy bowl with a handle. I think this will make it really easy for my daughter to take her gifts to school and pass them out to her friends. As one final touch, I filled the bottom of the cauldron with crinkle paper and added a white creepy cloth over the top. The effect kind of looks like something boiling over – a little trick to go with the treats. 🙂
