I’m on a mission to help busy women like you host events that you are proud of and that create beautiful memories for your loved ones.
Because parties are way more than cake and balloons. Way more. They are a moment in time when we pause our busy lives to celebrate – a person, an accomplishment, a new beginning.
In the spirit of marking a moment, the parties we plan and the events we host create beautiful memories for our family and friends to cherish forever.
So, every moment you spend planning every last detail is in fact an act of service to your loved ones.
Isn’t that something we can all raise a glass to!?
Now that you know a bit about my philosophy, here are a few things about me:
- Born and raised in Dayton, OH
- Mom to three daughters – Olivia, Isabelle, and Evelyn
- Over the nearly 20 years my husband, Bill, and I have been married, we have hosted. A lot. Birthdays, baptisms, first communions, bridal showers, Thanksgiving, Christmas, graduations, and countless “just because” dinners and get togethers.
- For as many successful events we’ve had, there have been some flops too. I’ve learned the hard way. Then I figured out how to do it better next time. This blog is a platform to share that knowledge so you can avoid making the same mistakes, and to inspire you with ways you can elevate your own events.
- Hostessology was born out of the pandemic. To keep my daughters entertained during the lock down, we threw themed parties and meals for ourselves on a regular basis. Decorations. Menu. Music. The whole nine yards. We documented some of it for ourselves, which eventually led to the idea of sharing this inspiration with others via a blog.
- When I’m not event planning and blogging about it, you can find me running, traveling, and trying to keep up with the mountains of laundry my family creates! lol
