Use pink table decorations – but make them moody. I had so much fun putting together this tablescape for my Galentine’s dinner, and I can’t wait to share with you all of the great finds and how to style them. Using a wide range of shades of pink grounded with a pretty deep berry runner, I truly love that the finished look felt aligned with my home decor – but also festive for the occasion.
In this post, I’ll share more details on the centerpiece, place settings, and my dining room bar cart, which also got a pop of pink for the dinner party.
Make sure you read to the end for all the links to shop – and to see our family dog, Archie, who was the only boy allowed at this girls night in!

Pink Table Decorations
Pink Table Centerpieces
I wanted to make sure this pink tablescape did not feel totally disjointed from my home decor, which is mostly neutrals. To do that, I chose a dark berry cheesecloth table runner as the first layer of the centerpiece. Cheesecloth runners are usually reasonably priced, and I love the texture and interest they add to a table.
Next, for the centerpiece, I added three vases of flowers. The vases are actually from the dollar store. To get a pottery-like look, I coated them with matte acrylic paint. For a few dollars each, I was able to create the style I wanted which was to have that earthy, natural texture on the table. Plus, I tend to prefer not seeing stems or water on table vases as it can be hard to make them look neat and clean. So, using glass vases coated with paint was the way to go. If you don’t care to DIY, here is a link to similar vases.
Inside each vase is a bouquet I made using grocery store flowers. I picked several shades of pink from the open stock, including one that was dark like the table runner to tie it all together. In addition, I used eucalyptus as filler.
TIP: I’m not the best at arranging flowers, but I have found that using short vases with wide openings is easier than tall vases with narrow openings, especially if you attempt to create a round ball effect by cutting the stems at varying heights and filling in most of the gaps.
Lastly, let’s talk about these cute cordless chargeable lamps. I’m obsessed. They are SO gorgeous in person and will get so much use beyond this one dinner. Sometimes it’s nice to not worry about open flame with candles – as much as I love candles. They come with three different light tones. I chose the warm white so it looked a bit more natural and soft.
Pink Table Decor Place Settings
Now onto pink table decorations for each place setting. Since there was a lot going on with the centerpiece, I wanted to keep the place settings simple. Using my black stoneware (which I also used here and here, if you want to see other ideas on how to use them), I topped each dinner plate with a pink cheesecloth napkin folded into thirds and then in half. I bought these napkins for this dinner and am glad I did. They’re light and airy, and have a gorgeous linen texture. The perfect pink table decorations.
Then, I broke the rules on where the utensils are “supposed” to go and tied my modern gold flatware together with a luxurious velvet ribbon in a similar color as the table runner. This was a nice low-cost way to have a napkin ring substitute. Plus, bows are currently trending – so it was fun to add a touch of that to the table.
Lastly, glassware. I used my new fluted coupe glasses I received for Christmas along with fluted water glasses that I’ve posted about here and here. We use them as our daily glasses, and I love them for tablescapes and also iced coffee. So pretty and fit the vibe perfectly.
Pink Bar Cart Decor
Last but not least, what to put in those pretty glasses! I served a pink gin cocktail, using this same recipe but substituted it with alcohol rather than making it a mocktail. It was so yummy and the perfect pink cocktail for a girls night in.
To make the bar cart a bit festive and less formal than the table, I added some rosy pink balloons to the bottom. Then, on the top, I made a taller version of the table flower arrangements which was a cute pop of pink against some of my favorite neutral barware – gold cocktail shaker, stud decanter, brass tray, and rose all day napkins, which I’ve ordered more than once because they’re just that good (used them a few years ago on this table too).
If you made it to the end of this post, here is the promised picture of Archie, our Australian Labradoodle. Isn’t he a sweetie!? We just love him.
