Finding cute, non-food Valentines for school can be difficult. I know, because as a mom of three daughters, I have been buying Valentines Day classroom treats for years (over a decade, actually!).
In this post, I’ll share with you what I’m sending to school with my youngest daughter for their class party this year along with how to get a free printable card so you can recreate the DIY look at home!

Heart Sunglasses for School Valentines
How fun are these Valentine’s Day heart sunglasses!? When I found them, it was love at first sight – haha. They come in a pack of 24 and are currently priced at less than $1 per pair. Such a great value. Plus, they ship quickly with Prime.
To hold the glasses, I designed these Valentine cards with a cute punny saying and playful doodle-style graphics. They are sized to 7″x5″, which worked perfectly to fit the sunglasses. (Hint: Make sure your printer is set to print at 100% to keep the scale.)
I added a light border around the cards to make it easier to trim straight lines. A small portable paper cutter is a lifesaver when it comes to DIY paper projects like this because it makes the cut lines nice and crisp. This is an updated version of the one I have had forever. But you can definitely use scissors too.
Then, to secure the glasses to the cards, I ended up using a piece of tape on the bridge. After attempting a few other ways, including cutting a small hole in the center of the card, this is what I decided to do because it sped up the project and did the best job of displaying the glasses.
