Valentines Day Dessert Ideas
Individually portioned desserts make entertaining so much easier because you’ve already done the work. All your guests have to do is help themselves. Same is true if you’re sending a treat to school for a Valentine’s Day party. My teacher friends would likely agree – individually portioned treats are SO much simpler to manage.
Valentine’s Day Dessert Ingredients & Supplies
It was love at first sight with this mini pink heart cup. As soon as I saw them, I knew they would be perfect for a Valentines Day dessert. They even come with little spoons in case you’re filling them with something that needs a utensil.
For this treat, no utensils are needed. Each heart is filled with strawberry cotton candy, strawberry biscuit sticks, and a heart shortbread cookie – all found at Target. To me, it’s just enough to satisfy a sweet tooth.
I arranged them on one of my favorite marble trays. This tray is a fav because it’s elevated, and the contrast between the marble and gold is super sophisticated, pretty, and goes with almost everything. I have used it for serving – and also on my dresser for perfume and on shelves to hold other decor. It’s always in a different spot in our home.
TIP: Serving food at varying heights on a buffet makes your display look more professional and “designed”.
How to Assemble an Easy Valentines Day Dessert
There really isn’t much to assembling this easy Valentine’s Day dessert. All I did was place a little bit of cotton candy into the bottom of each heart. Then, I put two biscuit sticks into each, using the cotton candy to hold them in place. I arranged the sticks off to the side so one was slightly taller than the other. Lastly, each was topped with a heart-shaped shortbread cookie.
