Choosing from the many bridal shower themes options is the first step when you’re planning an event for the special bride-to-be. Actually, choosing a theme will make your hosting life so much easier because you’ll have something to focus all aspects of the event on. That makes decisions a lot more simple, like what invitation to send, what decorations to buy, how to set up the space.
Learning the trends for bridal shower themes is a great place to start your research. That is why I came up with this list of 7 top themes that are on my radar for next year. I do a TON of research on party themes for my blog and Etsy shops – so I have a pretty good handle on what brides are looking for.
In addition to the 7 themes, I am choosing a few decorations for each with links to shop to give you a start on your planning.
I hope this list will give you the inspiration you need to pick the perfect theme that will represent the bride and groom you are celebrating!

BRIDAL SHOWER THEMES
1. Petals and Prosecco
Petals and Prosecco is a fun twist on a floral themed bridal shower. Since you’re already likely serving a champagne cocktail, why not make it prosecco? Then, add lots of pretty flower bouquets as the main decor focal point.
2. Love in Bloom
No matter what season you’re having your bridal shower in, love in bloom is a great theme. Simply switch the florals to coordinate with the time of year.
3. Brunch & Bubbly
Brunch and bubbly is a perfect theme if you’re hosting a bridal shower earlier in the day. Plus, it makes the food and drink menu easier to decide. A mimosa bar is a great choice. I also love the idea of serving a spritzer in a wine glass.
4. Fall in Love
For fall bridal shower themes, it’s hard to top “fall in love”. You can do so much with this from choosing an autumnal color palette to incorporating seasonal decor like pumpkins and dried flowers.
5. Tea with the Bride-To-Be
I have been happy to see tea party bridal showers making a comeback due to the Regency-era style trend. Especially in warmer months as a garden party, this is such an elegant theme. Hit up thrift stores to collect a bunch of different tea cups for an eclectic, vintage vibe. Or break out those dishes you inherited and give them new life.
6. She Found Her Main Squeeze
Citrus parties have been popular over the last few years and are still going strong. You can take the color palette so many different directions, but I personally like either yellow and green or yellow and pink. The options are endless on the ways you can add touches of the lemon theme throughout your wedding shower – centerpieces, place cards, signs, and even lemon-scented favors.
7. I Do BBQ
If you’re looking for a couples shower theme, I Do BBQ is a good option because it naturally creates a laid-back atmosphere. If the weather cooperates, host your event outside and set a pretty table picnic style.
