We’re back with another tablescape – and this time it’s for a dinner party. There are so many great affordable finds in this table that I cannot wait to share with you – especially the centerpiece!
I recently set this table for my daughter’s homecoming dance dinner. She wanted to host her friends at our house, and asked for a table that felt youthful but fancy. Challenge accepted!
We decided on a color palette as our jumping-off point – dusty rose and blush – which we pulled in with the linens and flowers. From there, we added fun youthful accents with acrylic vases and disco balls. I love how small touches like this can really transform a look.
This table would be perfect for a dinner party during the holiday season – but could also easily work for bridal or baby shower luncheons. Keep reading to learn where you can find these affordable pieces, which can be mixed and matched for other occasions all year long!

Dinner Party Centerpiece
This gauze dusty rose table runner is so good and so reasonably priced. It’s nice and long and would fit on a lot of different length tables. I scrunched it a bit to make it fit better on my table.
Layered on top of the table runner are candles and floral arrangements. To add some height, I used three matte black metal taper candle holders with trendy twisted candles in a blush pink in the center. Then, for low light, we used these cute tea light holders (similar – the color I used is sold out but this is the exact product) in a pretty fluted terracotta.
Then, on either side of the taper candle holders, we used rectangular acrylic vases filled with blush, burgundy, and brown flowers (open stock from Trader Joe’s). The vases made creating an arrangement so easy because they come with holes for flowers. All you need to do is cut the stems short and fill in. Best part – they’re currently under $10 each!
TIP: To fill the two acrylic vases plus one additional vase on the buffet, I used 6 bunches of flowers.
Finally, disco balls! Scattered down the centerpiece, they caught the light and really added that youthful, fun vibe my daughter requested. I like this set of 34 disco balls because it comes with several size options that can be grouped to create little vignette around the centerpiece.
Place Settings
I love a good simple place setting that still has impact, and this one is just that! Keeping it easy for this tablescape, I used these gorgeous stoneware plates. The organic edges are perfection, and I like that they are slightly off white, which adds some earthiness to a tablescape.
Then, on either side of the plate, I used a traditional setting with this amazingly affordable gold flatware. The finish on them is not too shiny and I love the modern shape. These have such a great price point making it within reach to add these to your collection to use for special occasions.
For glassware, I used my go-to fluted cups from Amazon (mine are currently sold out but here is a similar alternative). If you don’t own these yet, go grab a set or two. They are reasonably priced and would also make a great holiday gift for anyone who loves to entertain!
Lastly, the place setting was topped off with a knotted cheesecloth napkin. This is such as easy look – and no ironing required. Yay!
