This post is all about what you need to create a Valentine’s Day tablescape to celebrate the season of love in style.
Valentine Tablescape Ideas
Valentine’s Day Linens
How darling is this white and red heart table runner (similar)? I just love the fun tassels on each corner. It’s the perfect anchor for this table top decor.
Pink and Gold Place Setting
Layering a charger with a plate adds dimension and interest to any table setting. This Valentine’s Day tablescape starts with a matte gold charger. The simple design on the rim adds a little bit of texture without stealing the show.
We placed a pink and gold plate (similar) on top of the charger. I wanted a plate that would work for Valentine’s Day but also other occasions. This could easily work for Easter, Mother’s Day, baby shower, bridal shower, or a girlie birthday party.
Next to each plate are matte gold cutlery. I adore the modern shapes, which give a bit of edge to the overall aesthetic.
Heart Napkin Ring
Placed on top of each plate is a folded white napkin secured with a pretty red heart napkin ring. I’m loving the contrast between the red heart and pink plate, which also ties in with the hearts on the Valentine’s Day table runner.
Coupe Stemware with Heart Picks
For glassware, we chose clear coupe stemware (similar) and let our mocktail do all the talking. Complete with cherries, how fun is the pop of red it brings to the table!?
To add an extra Valentine’s Day touch, we used these darling red heart cocktail picks for our cherry garnish.
Valentine’s Day Table Centerpiece
While I debated using flowers, in the end I’m glad we went a different route and instead used a set of the cutest heart and pom decorative filler (similar) for the centerpiece. I think it makes the table a bit more casual, which is perfect for a family-friendly brunch.
We styled the Valentine’s Day centerpiece filler on a white scalloped cake stand (similar), rather than a bowl. The cake stand adds needed height to the overall look.
Sweet Treats as Valentine’s Day Table Decor
As one of the final Valentine tablescape ideas, what February 14 tablescape would be complete without sweet treats? On a pink heart-shaped plate (similar), we arranged an assortment of mini and large Valentine’s Day cookies.
In a pink heart-shaped bowl (similar), we added gold-wrapped chocolates. The centerpiece needed a touch of gold, and these were just the thing.
Candlelight
Last but not least, we added tea lights in clear votive holders in four places on the table runner, alternating with the desserts and centerpiece features. The ambiance of candlelight bouncing off the gold and glass gives the table decor a lovely aesthetic, if we don’t say so ourselves!
Check out our post on creating a neutral winter tablescape to see where we actually found these clear votive holders. It might surprise you!
