So you’re hosting Christmas brunch. Maybe it’s just for your immediate family? Or perhaps you have a few guests joining you? Either way, you want the meal to be festive and special, without a ton of effort. Because you’re already maxed out this time of year. As in, spent. Down to your last minute. Even though you love the holidays, it is a TON of work. (Can I get an amen!?) Adding a special meal on top of your already packed agenda is, well, a recipe for a mama melt down.
You’re in good company; we’re definitely in this together! As a busy mom of three, I know exactly how you feel! And I have a formula for an easy and cozy Christmas brunch table – most of which you can order from Amazon. PLUS I’m sharing my crowd pleaser, make-ahead menu – the one we serve every Christmas morning. So you can spend more time enjoying your family and less time worrying about brunch. Cheers to that!

This post is all about Christmas brunch.
Christmas Brunch Place Settings
For your Christmas brunch table, skip the extras – charger plates, table runners, side plates, etc. Instead, pair down to the basics.
You can get away with this by using bold stoneware dinner plates and cloth napkins folded into a dimensional shape. This combo will look anything but boring!
Here are the exact or similar items I used in my Christmas brunch tablescape:
Need a tutorial on how to tie a napkin knot? Fear not! (lol) Here is a 30 second video that shows you step-by-step.
To get the casual place card look, follow these steps:
- 1. Write names on the wood tags (I used a gold permanent marker)
- 2. Thread ribbon through mini ornament
- 3. Add wood tag to ribbon so it is next to mini ornament
- 4. Tie a bow
- 5. Place on top of a piece of faux or fresh rosemary
Christmas Brunch Centerpiece
A bowl of pine cones. Does it get easier than that!? You could add some candles if you’d like. But a statement bowl with pinecones seems like enough for this causal Christmas table.
To be specific, I used a footed bowl. While this one is still available from Crate & Barrel, it is backordered at this time. But I’ll link to some similar options for you in the Shop the Post section below!
Christmas Brunch Menu
This is the Christmas brunch menu my family has served for years. It’s nothing groundbreaking. Nor would it ever be considered gourmet. However, it is something my kids look forward to, which makes my mama heart happy. And best of all, it’s mostly make ahead. Knock it out the day before and heat it up on Christmas morning.
- Sausage, egg, and cheese casserole (I use my grandma’s recipe, but here is a similar one)
- Cinnamon rolls
- Fruit salad (my mom’s hack to making it last is to coat with a bit of lemon juice)
- Orange juice
- Coffee
Add a little champagne to your orange juice? Umm, no judging here! I’m likely doing the same!
